The Packers have a slew of problems after an ugly season so far in 2016, including a hole at running back as Eddie Lacy enters his contract year and a disastrous year injury wise to the Cornerback position. Many people have tossed around the idea of possible Heisman trophy winner Leonard Fournette being drafted by the Packers but I personally don’t think that is a very good idea. The biggest need in my mind for this team is CB, Rollins and Randall are good but not as good as us packer fans expected them to be.

The number 1 ranked CB according to is Marlon Humphrey from Alabama who has had problems playing the ball according to the people at Walter football. The number 2 CB is Adoree’ Jackson from USC who sounds like one of the most well-rounded players in the bundle and is considered the most exciting player in the draft. The 3rd best is Marshon Lattimore from Ohio State who is probably the best out of the 3 but there are worries that he might return to Ohio State for his redshirt junior season. Here’s some stats for the 3:

Cornerbacks (according to

  1. Marlon Humphrey-CB-Alabama-6’1, 198 pds-32 total tackles, 2 INT
  2. Adoree’ Jackson-CB-USC-5’11, 185 pds-49 total tackles, 4 INT
  3. Marshon Lattimore-CB-Ohio State-6’0, 192 pds-33 total tackles, 4 INT

Now lets take a look at what some people think the Pack will go after, the running back posiston.

Running Backs (according to

  1. Leonard Fournette-RB-LSU-6’1, 230 pds-843 total yards, 6.5 yard average, 8 TD’s
  2. Dalvin Cook-RB-Florida State-6’0, 203 pds-1,467 total yards, 6.1 yard average, 17 TD’s
  3. Alvin Kamara-RB-Tennessee-5’10, 215 pds-496 total yards, 5.8 yard average, 7 TD’s

Personally I dont see the Packers taking a running back with the 1st round selection (i see the 1st round one being a pretty high pick) but maybe later in the draft they will get a running back to replace Eddie Lacy, but Chirstine Michael hopefully could return next season to be the starter. Personally I see the Packers taking either one of these three in Royce Freeman (Oregon), Samaje Perine (Oklahoma) or Jalen Hurd (Tennessee).

The First round pick I think would be Adoree’ Jackson, a complete playmaker all over the place, a possible kick returner and more. More importantly I think he could add stability to the Corner Backing group that is pretty think right now.
