The Packers defeated the Texans 21-13 in a defensive, snowy game at Lambeau. The Packers are now on a 2 game win streak as they handed the Texans their 3rd straight loss.
It looked like it would be a defensive game early on as the Packers were only up 7-0 at half after a 9 yard touchdown pass to Cobb. Houston tied the game on their next drive after a 6 yard touchdown pass to TE Ryan Griffin. The Packers offense finally came alive in the 4th quarter when WR Jordy Nelson caught a 32 yard touchdown pass. FB Aaron Ripkowski scored his second career and 2nd consecutive touchdown in 2 weeks to extend the Packers lead to 14. The Texans stayed alive late in the 4th when WR DeAndre Hopkins caught a 44 yard touchdown pass to bring the Texans within 8 with 1:51 remaining. However kicker Nick Novak missed the PAT to make it a 8 score game. The Packers recovered the Texans onside kick to run the clock down to 4 seconds. The Texans tried to score on the last play of the game, but were stopped to end the game.
QB Aaron Rodgers went 20/30 for 209 yards and 2 passing touchdowns. Packers RB/WR Ty Montgomery led the Packers with 40 rushing yards on 16 carries. Montomery also had 2 receptions for 16 yards. On the receiving end WR Jordy Nelson led the Pack with 8 catches for 118 yards and a touchdown. Randall Cobb also had a touchdown along with 3 receptions for 19 yards.
For Houston QB Brock Osweiler went 21/34 with 213 yards and 2 passing touchdowns. RB Jonathan Grimes led the Texans in rushing yards with 43. WR DeAndre Hopkins led the Texans with 55 yards on onlt 2 recepitons. WR Will Fuller V had 5 receptions for 54 yards.
The Packers and Texans both move to 6-6 on the season. The Packers remain at Lambeau next week as they play the 7-3-1 Seattle Seahawks. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 3:25 on FOX.
