The Admirals couldn’t muster up a goal tonight, as they were shut out by the Grand Rapids Griffins and fall to 2nd place in the division.
The Admirals got off to a rough start as they conceded a goal in the 1st 25 seconds of the game. Griffins Forward Evgeny Svechnikov netted a goal late in the 1st period to give the Griffins a 2 goal lead going into the 2nd period. The Griffins other goal came early in the 2nd period, when Defenseman Robbie Russo scored to give the Griffins a 3 goal lead.

Goaltender Eddie Pasquale gets the win and his first shutout of the season, stopping all 27 shots. His record improves to 5-1-3-1 on the year. Admirals Goaltender Marek Mazanec gets the loss, his record drops to 5-2-1-0. The Griffins take over 1st place in the Central division, they improve their record to 18-7-1-2 while the Admirals record falls to 17-6-2-1.
The Admirals now travel to Chicago, as they get ready to face the 13-10-3-2 Chicago Wolves tomorrow night.
