Admirals slump continues; Wolves 5 Admirals 2

The Admirals lost their 3rd straight game Monday night at the UWM Panther Arena, as they fell to the Chicago Wolves by a score of 5-2.

The Wolves got on the board early when the “Admiral Killer” Brett Sterling scored  to give the Wolves a 1-0 lead. The Admirals didn’t answer back until the 2nd period  when Admirals captain Trevor Smith netted a goal to tie the game.

The rest of the game belonged to Chicago. The Wolves scored 3 unanswered goals, including an empty net goal, to extend their lead to 4-1. Admirals forward Vladislav Kamenev tried to spark a late comeback when he scored late in the 3rd period to trim the Wolves lead down to 2, but the Wolves put an end to that as they scored another empty net goal to go ahead 5-2. Wolves forward Samuel Blais scored 2 goals as the Wolves leave Milwaukee with yet another victory, and improve their record to 15-11-3-2. The Admirals suffer their 3rd straight loss as their record falls to 17-8-2-1.

Goaltender Marek Mazanec gets the loss, his record falls to 5-4-1-0.  Pheonix Copley gets the win in net for the Wolves tonight, his record improves to 7-4-2-1. 
The Admirals have a day off to figure things out before they play the 15-14-2-1 Iowa Wild at home on Wednesday. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the UWM Panther Arena.
